I AM THE GLOVE ON YOUR HAND, LORD
1st Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
Christ has no body but yours, No hands, no feet on earth but yours, Yours are the eyes with which he looks Compassion on this world, Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good, Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, Yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now but yours, No hands, no feet on earth but yours, Yours are the eyes with which he looks compassion on this world. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
Teresa of Avila (1515–1582)
Please love through me today as I am the glove on Your hand. Please direct and guide me by Your Spirit to the people that you want me to engage with, minister to, and love well.
No matter what happens today, may I be ever mindful that I’m Your ambassador here.
Look through my eyes to see others as You do, as they are, should be or will become; young men and women of destiny to be world-changers of today and tomorrow.
Speak through my lips to say Your messages filled with hope, encouragement and life.
Let me hear with Your ears and be attentive to what you want to say.
May my heart be poured out to love well. May it be pure and may it feel, hurt, and cry.
May my hands heal, comfort and hold the broken.
May my feet walk alongside, move, exercise, mobilize, celebrate!
Use all of me today…every part.
I lay it all down for you, for Your glory, honor and good purposes. Amen.
